Sometimes it really helps to manage information on your smartphone using your Internet-connected laptop or desktop. I find that I can easily interface with my phone with a mouse, rather than the tiny screen. All it took was opening the app, and entering in the code online at the AirDroid site.

Fortunately, there is a free App known as AirDroid which enables the user to connect their Android smartphone to the computer, provided they are on the same WiFi network. I got a chance to try it out, and the first thing I did was to check my text messages on my computer. I was even able to compose a text message from there.

Other features include transferring files between the Android device and a computer, as well as cut, copy, paste, search, rename, and delete files on the SD card. You can also access photos, contacts, ringtones, music, and, of course, Applications.

In addition to this, AirDroid gives me online real-time ROM, SD Card, Battery, CPU, and RAM status report.

You should be able to get AirDroid for free on the Android Market, for free. This free app can simply one’s life.
