Griffin has some very interesting tech products of all varieties, and one of their products for Android is the Beacon.
The Beacon is essentially a small device that turns an Android tablet, smartphone, or even MP3 player into a universal remote. All that is required is to download the Dijit Universal Remote App and put batteries in the oddly shaped transmitter/receiver that you see in the image.
That’s right, the unit does not even plug in, and it syncs to an Android via Bluetooth. From there, you can take control of the HDTV, DVD, Blu-ray, stereo, and anything else on your home theater.
Not only can you take control of your home entertainment, but Dijit has a program Guide for changing channels, volumes, input, as well as setting your DVR.
If you are interested in checking this out for yourself, you can head over to the Griffin site for about $69.99.
