Sometime around CES at the beginning of the year, Motorola and Verizon first announced the DROID Bionic. Nine months later, here it is, after much delay.

The Bionic is powered by a 1.0-GHz TI OMAP 4 dual-core processor. It has 1 Gigabyte of DDR2 RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, as well as a 16GB microSD card pre-installed. It has 802.11 b/g/n and has a 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot for up to 5 devices.

It has Android 2.3 Gingerbread loaded, with Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR. As for the camera, it has an 8 Megapixel rear and 0.3 Megapixel VGA front camera. The screen is a 4.3 inch qHD (960 x 540) display. It is 2.63 x 5 x 0.43 inches and weighs in at 5.6 ounces.

Many have supposed that Verizon is backing the Bionic because the iPhone is going to probably have some pretty impressive specs upon its unveiling in the next few weeks. We are just going to have to wait for that, I suppose.

The price is about $299.99 with a 2-year service contract, or $599 at full retail.
