It’s OK. Breath. 2.1 is here for the Droid Eris and it looks like the update is actually happening. Verizon Wireless is telling customers that the update will come at random times over the next 12 days. From their Twitter feed:

So what will this update mean for Droid Eris users?
It means pinch-to-zoom functions for the browser and Google Maps plus voice-to-text functions for all text entries. Then there’s Navigation for Google Maps, new functions to jump from screen to screen and an improved weather app.
So cheer up before you have to get jealous all over again.
