Endomondo Sports Tracker comes to Android

There are a lot of active-related applications out there. Endomondo Fitness Tracker has the typical features that you would expect from a device like this like a real time GPS tracking of time, distance, speed, and calories. It will even show the user his or her workout route on a map.

I suppose what makes Endomondo different is that it has a social connection. The user can share his or her workouts on Facebook, and even challenge their friends to beat his or her personal best.

I found that the Endomondo Sports Tracker came free with my Jabra SPORT, and the headset media button is good for audio feedback as well as pausing and resuming a workout. The user will also get audio feedback for every mile or kilometer.

Some new features include a news feed with a friend’s latest activities, a social widget showing the friends recently active, and a summary page for each workout.

You should be able to get the Endomondo Sports Tracker for free on the Android Market here. You can also upgrade to the Endomondo Sports Tracker PRO for $4.04, which has a lot of other features that you can read about here.
