Google Voice gets some new features

For those that use Google Voice to make cheap international calls with a Google number should be pleased to know that it has some terrific features. Three of them, as a matter of fact.

The first is that it finally has the ability to send a text message to a group of people in Google Voice. For some reason, the program didn’t have this before.

The second is improved text message notifications that show Google Voice users an entire text message in the notification bar, even if you are running some other kind of notification.

The third is something that some might call a godsend. Apparently, you can check your voicemail when you are offline. It does this through a process known as “prefetched voicemails”, which will download the moment you have a data connection. That last one is pretty important, as I have heard that Google Voice has some pretty limited coverage, so it would be good to have voicemail when you can’t get it.

If any of this sounds good to you, head to the Android Market here right now and download it, for free!!!
