IMDB has officially released an Android app, which has voice search and sharing options besides a host of new features. This makes the app a hot pick for any movie buff. Movies have been organized according to a comprehensive list, which can be viewed based on cast, ratings and reviews.

IMDB already has an iPhone and iPad app and has recently entered the Android market. With this release, IMDB has also released a new feature called the IMDB Everywhere. According to this new feature, IMDB aims to provide users an easy method to share and view IMDB content on Twitter and Facebook.

Added feature that Android users get on the app exclusively are social sharing and voice search. The apps for iPad and iPhone still lack these features.

The app is a version 1.0 release and still lacks account login and forum access. However, these features are imminent to come in the next release, which will be made very soon. One feature I missed in the app is a cache. Every time you enter a menu and come back, all the thumbnail images on the home screen are reloaded. The issue will most likely be fixed in the next release.
