According to an anonymous tip from someone in Barnes and Noble, a sequel to the Nook Color, a popular Android e-reader tablet, is coming.
Yes, that is a leak, but I have a lot of Sources that confirm it. If it is true, then it faces some heavy competition, like that Amazon Kindle Fire that is coming mid-November.
There isn’t really much details about what is in the Nook Color 2, but one hopes that it will have a shopping system for getting content on it. This seems to be one thing that Amazon is really good at is getting content. I also wonder if this Nook Color 2 will have a more advanced version of Android.
If this rumor is true, then the announcement, if not the release, is coming on November 9th. I wouldn’t be surprised if the price of the Nook Color 2 (or whatever its name could be) was lower or equal to the announced price of the Kindle Fire, which is $199.
