OLO is proof that the best games are the simplest. If you look at the history of video games, it has always been the games like Pac-man, Tetris, Bejeweled, or Angry Birds that have the highest audience. Why is that? These games are simple to learn, and have no complex backstory.

OLO is about as simple as it gets as far as its graphics are concerned. It requires two players, and the object is to fling OLOs to your opponent’s side, being careful that they do not go out of bounds. The opponent can tries to do the same thing, and his or her OLOs can knock yours out of his or her area.

It sounds complex, but it is not. Just play one game, and you will have it. You will not have mastered it, as OLOs come in different sizes. It is very difficult to tell how fast to fling these guys, and the smaller OLOs go out of bounds very easily.

It is a simple game that a child can play, and it works. The only thing that doesn’t work is that it requires two players. I wish that it would have a computer opponent, but perhaps the game is better playing with friends rather than all alone.

You should be able to pick up this free game here on the Android Market.
