If you go to the Android Market, you can find a new application in beta called Smozzy.
Smozzy is an Android application that allows the user to package communications between Android browser and the Web as messages transmitted from T-Mobile’s text messaging service. This only works for T-Mobile consumers that have T-Mobile’s unlimited messaging plan, but they will have free Web access.
It will be slow, as Web requests that are sent via SMS to Smozzy’s server, and then retries the pages to return them via MMS. It is a very complicated process that you can read about at my Source.
T-mobile users should be able to pick up this application here. I don’t know how long that will last. T-Mobile could shut down something like this, and its developer, Jeff Donahue, feels like that they will. After all, something like this is taking away business. Let’s see if they do.
