Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S announced

Right now, IFA, the world’s largest trade show for consumer electronics, is happening right now in Berlin.

The biggest companies have a lot to show off there, like Samsung with their Galaxy S II. Sony also has something good to offer with the Sony Erisson Xperia Arc S.

There isn’t much revealed about this smartphone, but it does have a 1.4 GHz processor, as will as Sony’s Reality screen with a resolution of 854 x 480.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S is powered by Sony’s mobile Bravia engine, and it shall run Android, but it isn’t revealed what version. I am guessing it would be Gingerbread.

Another feature is that it is able to shoot 2D panoramic images though an Exmore R sensor, and these images can be converted to 3D. No word if these 3D images can be viewed on other 3D compatible phones, but the 3D images can be viewed on Sony Bravia 3D TV sets.

I’m sure we will hear more details on this device soon, until then, it is scheduled for release in October of this year.
