Sprint gets the Samsung Transform Ultra

Samsung has a new phone known as the Transform Ultra that delivers a “truly customizable experience even faster than before and at an affordable price”.

It will come with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) that has a Sprint ID customizable user interface. This allows the user to download ID packs for a predefined experience which includes applications, widgets, wallpapers, and ringtones. The slideout QWERTY keyboard, which is starting to become rare on smartphones, is another bonus feature.

Inside, it has a 1 GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 2GB of ROM, and a display that is an HVGA with 480 x 320 pixels. It also comes equipped with Stereo Bluetooth Wireless technology, and is Wi-Fi and GPS capable.

As for the cameras, it has a 3 Megapixel camera and a VGA front facing camera. Also included is a MicroSD card slot for up to 32GB of storage.

I don’t have an exact release date or price, but it should show up before the holiday season. It will be from Sprint’s Boost Mobile network.
