Motorola announced that LTE compatible tablets, the DROID XYBOARD, will be in stores this month, just in time for the holidays.

The XYBOARDs come in two models: 8.2 inch IPS display and 10.1 inch IPS display. Both of these have a 1.2 GHz processor as well as 1GB of RAM.

The software of the XYBOARDs are Motorola’s MOTOCAST media streaming software with Citrix GoToMeeting, QuickOffice HD, and all sorts of apps.

Other features include an IR transmitter designed for controlling a home theater, and they have a 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera and a 5 Megapixel rear camera.

The price is pretty iPad-ish high. A 10.1-inch version is 16GB for $529.99, 32GB for $629.99, and 64GB for $729.99. As for the 8.2 inch version, a 16GB is $429.99 and a 32GB for $529.99. These are the two-year contract prices, by the way, and you will be paying for Verizon subscription prices.
