I suppose that Viewsonic is responding to customer demands by producing a tablet that can do both Android and Windows.
The Android is Gingerbread, the version 2.3 that I discussed in an article last week. The Windows version is either Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Home Premium. Apparently, all that is required of the user to switch between these two operating systems is a touch of a button.
The ViewPad 10pro features a 1.5GHz Atom Z670 processor, 1,024 x 600 10:1-inch capacitive multi-touch screen LCD with LED backlight, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI port, Wi-Fi, and 1.3 Megapixel front camera. It weighs in at 1.97 pounds, and has a battery life of about 8 hours.
The user can purchase the Viewsonic ViewPad 10pro for $599 with Windows 7 Home Premium and 16GB SSD, or $699 with Windows 7 Profesional for 32GB SSD.
