I don’t know if you have heard, but Facebook has recently released a new application called Facebook Camera. It is very similar to Instagram, which was just bought up by Facebook not long ago. You would think the world’s biggest social network would have figured out that they needed to put out their Instagram app on Android as well.
So, it looks like we can’t cover that. Fortunately, we can cover a cool gaming app that has come to Android known as Zombie Smash! Think of the “smash” in the title as a synonym for “party”.
I’m sure that you are all familiar with the zombie story, which is starting to become a genre in and of itself. This game isn’t exactly Left4Dead or Dead Rising, but is essentially a parody of Zombie games, like Plants vs. Zombies. The object of the game is the same, to kill a bunch of zombies in a castle-defense style.
What makes this game really interesting is that the user defeats Zombies by doing finger-swipes, flinging Zombies up in the air so that they will fall to pieces on impact. Of course, there are weapons to help in the mass undead slaughter like asteroids, wrecking balls, liquid nitrogen and giant rolling boulders. By the way, these special attacks can be used in combination as well. When you reach the end of the level, there is a “Finish Him” feature that allows you to kill the last undead guy in slow motion.
The game has four modes. The first is the Campaign mode where the player fights to survive 31 days in World War Z. The second is the Endless Siege mode for a never ending zombie assault where you have to hold off for as long as possible. Sandbox mode is designed to “rain destruction down on those stinking, moaning zombies without any of the peril”. Finally, there is the Bonus Nights mode which will go through extended gameplay.
The game has some interesting options, and one of them is that you can reduce the gore factor so you see less blood from these undead fiends.
Zombie Smash is from our friends at Zynga, makers of the ever-so-popular Words with Friends and other mobile application hits. You should be able to purchase it right now on the Google Play store for a price of $0.99.
