Hopefully, you have tried out Words With Friends from Zynga. If you haven’t, it was the best form of Scrabble before Scrabble actually came to Android.
Hanging with Friends is essentially Hangman for two players. The idea is that you set up a word, and then the other player has to guess it.
If an opponent created the game, then you have two parts to your turn. The first part is guessing the opponent’s word by tapping “Play” and choosing letters that are in the word.
You have one lifeline that you can play. Like the Who Wants To Be a Millionaire show fad of the last decade, there are three different types of lifelines. The Suspects lifeline reveals four letters, one of which is the word, and guessing one of them incorrectly will result in a strike. Extinguish lifeline will remove four incorrect tiles from your letter try. The Revive lifeline will remove one strike.
Once the word is played, you send it back. The number of strikes (misplaced guesses) depends on the length of the word.
You can even chat online with an opponent, for trash-talking purposes.
If you are already liking the sound of this game, feel free to head to the Android Market and download it here for free.
